ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY

CURRENT SITUATION

At VIK hotel San Antonio , the Sustainability management team is committed to environmental protection and will strive to reduce the property's impact on the environment.

GOALS

Through its environmental policy, the team:

Will ensure compliance with environmental laws and regulations
You will measure the improvements implemented and the objectives, to ensure that progress is regularly reviewed.
Involve your staff so that they understand their role within the company's environmental policy
It will invite customers to help in its efforts to reduce environmental impact

GOALS

To achieve the above goals:

Energy consumption will be reduced by 5% compared to last year by installing low-consumption lights and motion detectors in common areas.
Water consumption will be reduced by 5% compared to last year by installing water flow reducers in taps and showers and/or low-flow systems in the cisterns of customer bathrooms.
We will reduce the amount of waste we throw away by 10% compared to last year, separating all trash such as glass, paper, plastic, etc. and identifying new opportunities to reuse and recycle these materials.
The use of hazardous chemicals will be reduced by 5% compared to last year, with an attempt to find biodegradable or natural alternatives.
A plan will be put in place to protect and conserve nests of endangered species near the hotel, and we will encourage our guests to take an interest in this as well.
We will ensure that 30% of non-consumable products are from recycled sources.
